Job summary

Southwood Realty Company seeks an Assistant Property Manager for the Fort Mill, SC community. This full-time role reports to the Property Manager and may assume responsibilities in their absence, ensuring smooth operations and resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities include leasing, staff scheduling, policy adherence, reporting, and supporting resident retention initiatives while maintaining curb appeal and promotional materials availability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 1 to 3 months related experience and or training required.
• Able to type at least 40 WPM.
• Must be organized.
• National Apartment Leasing Professional (NALP) desired.

Responsibilities

• Conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, Fair Housing, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other laws pertaining to apartments.
• Assist the Property Manager in orientation, training, and scheduling of all office personnel.
• Thorough knowledge of leasing techniques and sales methods as designated by Southwood Realty.
• Ability to secure a high percentage of the properties overall closed leases.
• Responsible for efficient reporting, maintenance and submission of administrative forms, files, and reports.
• Ensure courteous response to all resident requests.
• Assist in designing and implementing a resident retention program.
• Maintain contact with business and locator services, and availability of promotional materials.
• Assist the Property Manager to ensure the physical well-being and curb appeal of the apartment community.
