Job summary

Atlantic Pacific Companies in Downtown Miami is seeking an on-site Assistant Property Manager to support the Property Manager in daily operations of a luxury multifamily building. You will help with leasing, resident relations, and financial duties.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years leasing or sales experience, bilingual Spanish-English, and solid knowledge of Fair Housing laws. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software is required; weekend availability may be needed.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of leasing or sales experience, preferably in a lease-up or luxury multifamily setting.
  • Bilingual (Spanish-English) candidates are strongly preferred.
  • Associate degree preferred but not required.
  • Strong working knowledge of Fair Housing laws and resident relations, leasing, rent collections, eviction procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and property management software.

Responsibilities

  • Answer phones and provide leasing information; schedule tours; assist residents with needs.
  • Learn all aspects of management alongside the Property Manager, including admin and financial duties.
  • Assist with creating monthly reports—renewals, rents, leasing, traffic and resident retention programs.
  • Assist with lease renewals and recommend marketing strategies to generate traffic.
  • Handle resident service requests and various concerns; manage rent collections and notices; inspect property daily.

Job Description Summary:

This on-site Assistant Property Manager is responsible for assisting the Property Manager in the overall operation of the property and the day-to-day implementation of policies, procedures, and programs that ensure a well-managed, well-maintained building. The Assistant Property Manager will be asked to assume greater responsibilities as needed, as well as knowledge of all aspects of property management. Responsibilities:
  • Answer telephones and provide leasing information, schedule appointments for tours, take maintenance requests, assist residents with needs, etc.
  • Works closely with the Property Manager in learning all aspects of management, including administrative and financial duties.
  • Assist with creating monthly reports including but not limited to renewals, rents, leasing, traffic and resident retention programs.
  • Assist with lease renewals and make recommendations on marketing strategies to generate traffic
  • Assist in the handling of resident service request and various concerns as required.
  • Manage the collection of rent and submit notices as required.
  • Distribute late notices to residents; such as 3-day notices; 7-day notices as well as Violation Notices with regard to company rules & regulations.
  • Physically walk and inspect property on a daily basis, checks on vacant apartments.

  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional focus on detail.
  • Proactive individual who works independently.
  • Available to work weekends as needed.

Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of leasing or sales experience, preferably in a lease-up or luxury multifamily setting
  • Bilingual (Spanish-English) candidates are strongly preferred
  • Associate degree preferred but not required.
  • One or two years of property management-related experience is required.
  • Must possess a strong working knowledge of multifamily property management including but not limited to Fair Housing laws and regulations, resident relations, leasing, rent collections, eviction procedures, accounting principles and the use of accounting software and property safety.
  • Proficient in internet software; systems software Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook).
  • Industry Software Bluemoon, Yieldstart preferred.
  • Onsite or Yardi (CRM, Voyager, P2P) required.
  • Available to work weekends as needed.
