Job summary

Avenue5 Residential is seeking an Assistant Property Manager in Washington to support the property manager in daily operations and ensure resident satisfaction. The role covers lease administration, financial reporting, and coordination with maintenance and vendors.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in property management, knowledge of resident rental lifecycle, and a real estate license is a plus. Proficiency with MS Office and Yardi Voyager is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2–3 years of property management experience required.
• Real estate license preferred or may be required in some locations.
• Knowledge of resident rental lifecycle activities is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the property manager in day-to-day property operations, including resident satisfaction and lease lifecycle activities.
• Maintain accounts receivable, collect rent, post rent, deposit funds, and balance rent roll.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial and leasing reports in a timely manner.
• Audit lease records and resident files for accuracy and identify dates for action.
• Process evictions and attendant paperwork, notices, and court appearances.
• Lease apartments as needed and assist with marketing and move-ins/move-outs.
• Train staff on leasing, data entry, marketing, and office operations.
