Job summary

Flaherty & Collins Properties is seeking an Assistant Property Manager for The Helm in Kansas City, KS. This full-time role offers a Tuesday–Saturday schedule and an hourly wage of $23.00. You will support the Property Manager with leasing, maintenance coordination, and resident relations, while handling screenings, move-ins/outs, and tours.

Proficiency with OneSite and MS Office is expected. A high school diploma and related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in property management, leasing, bookkeeping, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Property Manager in daily operations, including leasing, maintenance coordination, and resident relations.
• Assist with prospective resident screenings and move-in/move-out processes.
• Serve as a point of contact for residents, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
• Assist with leasing activities, such as property tours, lease agreements, and policy compliance.
• Oversee rent collection and process payments, and manage delinquency follow-ups.
• Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure timely service requests and property upkeep.
• Monitor property performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
• Assist in planning and executing resident events to foster a sense of community.
• Stay informed about market trends and competitor properties to position the community for success.
