Job summary

National Church Residences is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support the Property Manager at Poindexter Place, a senior affordable housing community in Columbus, Ohio. The role covers daily administration, resident support, and regulatory compliance with HUD, LIHTC, and Section 8.

You will assist in leasing, rent collections, and reporting, coordinate with maintenance, and help budget and financial planning. Strong organization, communication, and software skills are essential.

Qualifications

• LIHTC, PBV, and affordable housing experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; further property management education a plus.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with property management software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily property operations to ensure smooth, efficient running.
• Handle tenant inquiries, complaints, and maintenance requests promptly.
• Assist in leasing activities, show units, process applications, and perform background checks.
• Help manage rent collections, enforce lease terms, and address delinquencies.
• Maintain records of tenant interactions, financials, and maintenance.
• Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure timely work orders.
• Ensure compliance with HUD, LIHTC and Section 8 regulations.
• Prepare occupancy, financial, and other operational reports.
• Support budget preparation and financial planning for the property.
