Job summary

AWI Management Corp. in Bermuda Dunes, CA is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to oversee a 90-unit community and deliver high-quality resident services.

This full-time, non-exempt position requires strong organizational skills, experience with housing programs, and proficiency in MS Office and PM software. Competitive hourly pay between $27 and $28, plus opportunities to grow within a mission-driven company.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Office and property management software/databases.
• Strong math and financial accuracy.
• Excellent organization and time management abilities.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to maintain positive relationships with tenants, vendors, and corporate staff.
• Experience in affordable housing programs such as RD, HUD, or LIHTC is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Managing all aspects of the assigned property's daily operations
• Processing applications, screening applicants, and verifying landlord references
• Preparing leases, house rules, and required documentation
• Managing tenant certifications and re-certifications
• Conducting move-ins and move-outs
• Collecting rent and security deposits
• Enforcing lease agreements and community policies
• Coordinating maintenance and ensuring property standards are met
• Maintaining strong curb appeal and property presentation
• Marketing and advertising vacant units to attract qualified residents
• Responding appropriately to emergency situations
• Following company policies and procedures
