Come join our team as an Assistant Property Manager at Lewis Place in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Lewis Place is part of Volunteers of America National Services, serving as the Housing and Healthcare affiliate of the Volunteers of America organization.

Job Highlights:
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, with occasional weekends
  • This is a LIHTC site that accepts Section 8 vouchers
About the job:

The Assistant Property Manager assists with daily operations of the property, handles administrative duties, and maintains positive resident relationships.

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma plus at least two years of related property management experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Positive attitude and flexibility
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally
  • Understanding of Fair Housing laws
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (some travel may be required)
Preferred Skills:
  • Professional certifications such as CMH, ARM, CAM, RAM are preferred
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry
Responsibilities include:
  • Managing occupancy and maintenance
  • Processing background checks, rental applications, and lease documents
  • Coordinating maintenance and producing work orders
  • Rent collection, record keeping, and assisting with inspections
  • Preparing for audits and maintaining resident files
  • Communicating with residents and vendors
  • Ordering supplies and supporting team efforts
