Description

Who we're looking for: We aim to build highly motivated and engaged teams. We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Resident Manager at The Douglaston Companies, located in Downtown Brooklyn. If you seek a collaborative, supportive environment with challenges, apply now!

This role involves working at our newest property in Downtown Brooklyn.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
  • Build relationships with tenants and respond to inquiries within 24 hours
  • Create and track maintenance work orders from request to completion
  • Coordinate with vendors on scheduling, access, and documentation
  • Process tenant move-ins/move-outs with complete documentation
  • Support management team with administrative tasks
Property Management
  • Pre-inspect units and review building inspection reports
  • Manage parking assignments, leases, and waiting lists
  • Handle collections for electrical and parking charges
  • Maintain organized office and order supplies as needed
Leasing
  • Guide prospects through the leasing process
  • Schedule showings and respond promptly to inquiries
  • Generate activity reports and process lease renewals
  • Uphold company customer service standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • 2-5 years’ experience in an administrative role within property management or related field
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred
  • Strong customer service experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and property management software (Yardi preferred)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects timely
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Self-starter, able to work independently and in a team
