Job summary

Hirewell is seeking an Assistant Property Manager for a multifamily residential community in Chicago. You will work closely with the Property Manager to maximize occupancy, maintain resident satisfaction, and support financial reporting.

Strong organizational and communication skills are essential to deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment. The role includes leasing support, rent collection, vendor coordination, and daily administrative duties.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of multifamily property management, leasing, or customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and property management best practices.
  • Experience with property management software such as Yardi, Entrata, RealPage, OneSite, MRI, or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Property Manager with the daily operations of the community.
  • Ensure the property is maintained to company standards through regular inspections
  • Respond promptly to resident inquiries and resolve concerns professionally
  • Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure timely completion of work orders
  • Assist with vendor coordination and service scheduling
  • Support leasing efforts by conducting tours and following up with prospective residents.
  • Process lease applications, renewals, and move-in/move-out documentation
  • Maintain high resident satisfaction through exceptional customer service
  • Organize resident events and community engagement initiatives
  • Handle resident complaints and escalated issues when necessary
  • Collect rent and other resident payments.
  • Monitor delinquency reports and assist with collections
  • Prepare bank deposits and maintain accurate financial records
  • Process invoices and assist with accounts payable
  • Support budget tracking and expense management
  • Maintain accurate resident files and ensure compliance with company policies
  • Prepare reports related to occupancy, leasing activity, delinquency, and resident retention
  • Answer phones, respond to emails, and manage office correspondence
  • Assist with audits and ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations.

Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Assistant Property Manager to support the day-to-day operations of a multifamily residential community. The Assistant Property Manager works closely with the Property Manager to maximize occupancy, maintain resident satisfaction, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support the overall performance of the asset. Key Responsibilities
Property Operations
  • Assist the Property Manager with the daily operations of the community.
