Job summary

SunEnergy1 is seeking an Assistant Project Manager – Scheduling to support utility-scale solar, BESS, and electrical construction projects in Charlotte, NC. The role involves maintaining detailed schedules, coordinating with engineering, procurement, construction, and field teams, and producing status reports.

You will assist in tracking milestones, delays, and recovery plans while supporting project controls and change management activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in construction-related field preferred.
1–3 years of experience in construction, project management, scheduling, or project controls.
Experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or comparable scheduling software preferred.
Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assist with development and maintenance of detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar software.
Update schedules based on project progress and field reports.
Track critical path activities, milestones, and schedule performance.
Identify potential delays and assist with developing recovery plans.
Coordinate schedule updates with Project Managers, Construction Managers, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors.
Prepare weekly and monthly schedule reports and project status updates.
Track engineering, procurement, permitting, equipment deliveries, and construction activities.
Maintain project documentation and scheduling records.
Assist with project meetings, action items, and follow-up.
Support change management, forecasting, and project controls activities.
