Job summary

Rycon Construction seeks an experienced assistant project manager for its Special Projects Group in Pittsburgh. You will support the Project Manager to execute project goals, read contracts, and develop scopes of work while writing subcontracts and negotiating with trade partners.

You will maintain schedules with Microsoft Project, track submittals, RFIs, and cost reports, and ensure proactive owner relations.

Qualifications

• Requires strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience reading contracts and developing scopes of work.
• Proficiency with project management software (MS Project, PlanGrid, Procore).
• Ability to manage complex projects from concept to operation.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Manager in achieving project goals.
• Read documents and contracts.
• Develop and write scopes of work for trade packages.
• Write Subcontracts and negotiate subcontracts.
• Develop and maintain schedules using Microsoft Project.
• Attend meetings and prepare minutes.
• Review/prepare change orders.
• Develop/track submittals, RFIs and cost reports.
• Maintain owner relations.
