Job summary

Rycon Construction is an ESOP, employee‑owned company delivering construction management, general contracting, design‑build, and program management nationwide. We seek an experienced Project Manager for our Special Projects Group in Pittsburgh to lead small‑to‑mid‑sized commercial builds up to $5M, managing subcontracts, schedules, budgets, and owner relations.

• Excellent communication skills; ability to direct complex projects from concept to operational status.
• Ability to travel periodically to out-of-town project jobsites.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager for our Special Projects Group at our Pittsburgh office.

What you will do

• Reading documents and contracts.
• Writing subcontracts.
• Negotiating and awarding subcontracts.
• Reviewing/preparing subcontractors scope of work.
• Develop and maintain schedules using Microsoft Project.
• Attend meetings and prepare minutes.
• Review/prepare change orders.
• Develop/track submittals, RFIs and cost reports.
• Maintain owner relations.
• Maintain overall project budget / Cost Forecasting.

What you will need to be successful

• Minimum of three (3)+ years’ experience in construction of small to medium sized commercial construction projects up to $5 million in value.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must have the ability to direct complex projects from concept to fully operational status.
• Computer Skills Required – Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to create material take-offs.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Should be highly organized, highly motivated and detail directed problem solver.
• College degree preferred, but not required.
• Ability to periodically travel to out of town project jobsites.
