Job summary

Technico Construction in New York is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join its team and learn all facets of large-scale public works. The APM will support Project Managers, track submittals, RFIs, and logs, and coordinate with field teams to maintain project momentum.

The ideal candidate has a related degree and knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office, and construction coordination. This full-time role offers competitive pay, benefits, and on-site parking in NYC.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction project coordination preferred.
• Knowledge of NYC construction processes and codes helpful.
• Excellent written and verbal communication required.

Responsibilities

• Review, compose, and submit RFIs and submittals for approval.
• Track RFI responses and submittal approvals.
• Review specs/drawings and log required submittals.
• Prepare and manage logs: Submittal, Closeout, Change Orders, Inspections.
• Prepare Two-Week Lookahead schedule with trades and CPM schedule.
• Support monthly CPM schedule updates and contractual changes.
• Prepare/update internal meeting minutes and priorities.
• Schedule inspections and distribute reports with trades.
• Coordinate NCRs, submittals, and RFIs with site staff and inspectors.
• Compile change order docs across trades and GC scope.
• Conduct weekly MEP coordination meetings with drafters.
• Log changes and prepare as-built drawings; submit closeout docs.
