Job summary

E.M. Duggan is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support the management of mechanical and plumbing construction projects.

This role assists the Project Manager in coordinating schedules, budgets, field operations, and project documentation, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with contract specifications. The position involves regular site visits, coordination with field teams and vendors, adherence to OSHA safety

Qualifications

• Experience supporting mechanical and plumbing construction projects.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with planning, scheduling, and coordination of mechanical and plumbing projects.
• Track project progress, monitor labor productivity, and report on schedule and budget performance.
• Maintain and organize project documentation, including drawings, submittals, change orders, RFIs, and meeting minutes.
• Coordinate with field teams, superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
• Support procurement of materials, equipment, and services in collaboration with purchasing staff.
• Assist with cost tracking, job costing, and preparation of financial reports.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings, weekly progress meetings, and coordination meetings.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and project-specific requirements.
• Facilitate communication between clients, engineers, and internal teams.
• Help prepare project closeout documentation, including as-built drawings, warranties, and punch lists.
