Job summary

GreenMechanicalConstruction, an ESOP company with offices in Charlotte, NC, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support plumbing and HVAC construction projects on-site. You’ll work with Project Managers and field leadership to help ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s in construction management or related field, have internship or co-op experience, strong organization and communication skills, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Building Science, or related field (preferred).
• Experience in a commercial construction environment (internship or co-op acceptable).
• Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with construction software tools is a plus; strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Represent on-site for GreenMechanicalConstruction.
• Assist Project Manager with planning, scheduling, and execution of project goals.
• Coordinate with field supervision to organize work activities and ensure code compliance.
• Assist with material procurement and tracking.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation (drawings, specs, RFIs, submittals, POs, closeout docs).
• Support safety efforts with Safety Director and company policies.
• Collaborate with design teams on design-build projects.
• Attend daily and weekly project meetings.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
