Job summary

CLT Recruiters is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for a high-end residential electrical contractor in New York, NY. The role supports the Project Manager on active luxury projects and offers a path to independent project leadership, with a balance of office and on-site work.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in PM, project coordination, or project engineering within residential electrical builds, can read blueprints and riser diagrams, and communicates clearly with clients and design teams.

Qualifications

• Three or more years in a project management, project engineering or project coordination role.
• Experience on residential electrical or high-end residential construction projects.
• Ability to read blueprints, riser diagrams, schematics and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with local electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail across several active projects at once.
• Clear written and verbal communication with clients, design teams and field personnel.
• Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office.
• Interest in growing into a full Project Manager role.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager across active high-end residential electrical projects.
• Prepare and track submittals, RFIs and change orders.
• Maintain project documentation, logs and progress reports.
• Assist in developing project scopes, schedules and budgets.
• Place material and equipment orders and track deliveries against the schedule.
• Attend site visits and report back on progress, manpower and open issues.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, designers and field teams on day to day project questions.
• Help track project costs and support monthly billing.
• Confirm work in place is consistent with approved drawings and specifications.
• Support field supervision on safety and code compliance requirements.
