Job summary

Classic Cottages, LLC in Northern Virginia seeks an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support the Project Management team on luxury residential sites in Alexandria and surrounding areas. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage utilities, and prepare site and documentation for framing and walkthroughs.

This role targets growth into leadership within luxury homebuilding; you will schedule updates, handle permits, vet vendors, and review change orders with the Superintendent.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in New Home Construction (required).
• Bachelor’s degree in construction-related field or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of construction project management principles and safety standards.
• Proficient with MS Office; comfortable using construction management platforms.
• Strong communication with vendors, clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, plan, and vet subcontractors across multiple sites.
• Manage utility lifecycle: applications, progress tracking, activations.
• Organize permit documents in internal systems and job sites.
• Update project schedules weekly; track submittals, RFIs, deliveries.
• Prepare sites for framing and walkthroughs; attend meetings.
• Prepare subcontractor agreements and purchase orders; approve invoices.
• Identify gaps and improve documentation and team coordination.
• Review subcontractor work and change orders for quality and scope.
