Job summary

Mercy Housing in Los Angeles is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the real estate development, relocation, and rehabilitation of housing projects on a project-based basis with a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities include preparing correspondence, budgeting, reports, and coordinating meetings with tenants, consultants, and stakeholders. A bachelor’s degree and one year of related experience are required; affordable housing experience is preferred.

  • Write and edit materials using Word and Excel; manage admin functions.
  • Schedule meetings, conference calls, and spaces.
  • Attend project meetings with consultants, tenants, and stakeholders; take notes and support logistics.
  • Assist with tenant/project files; produce reports and maintain confidential materials.
  • Prepare contracts, division plans and budgets/proformas for review by manager.
  • Prepare project financial analyses and applications for funding.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Planning, Communications, or related field

Assistant Project Manager will provide administrative and technical services and analysis to the real estate development team for new development, relocation/ community development, and rehabilitation of housing projects. This is a project-based position. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.

PAY: $30.00 - 33.17/hour DOE

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create, compose, and prepare correspondence, including tenant/community notices, and distributes out-going correspondence via fax, mail, or e-mail, as needed.
  • Write and edit various materials utilizing Word and Excel, as needed. Independently manage administrative functions for division/site.
  • Schedule and confirm meetings, conference calls, and meeting spaces.
  • Attend project meetings with consultants, tenants, and other stakeholders, as needed. Take notes, ask questions, and support logistics of community meetings. Ensure that inquiries are responded to and will support research needed to appropriately answer stakeholder questions.
  • Assist with tenant/project files or database. Produce reports as requested. Maintain and control confidential materials.
  • Prepare check requests, invoicing, contracts, division plans and budgets/proformas for review by manager.
  • Prepare project financial analysis, narratives and prepares applications/proposals for funding.
  • Perform other tasks as requested to ensure the smooth functioning of the division/site and other activities. Assist with various division/site projects and supports the team. Create, track and provide follow-through
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Planning, Communications, or related field.
  • One (1) year of demonstrated experience in related work.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in low-income housing.

  • Bachelors or better in City and Regional Planning or related field.
Experience Required
  • 1 year:Demonstrated experience in project management, real estate development, affordable housing.

  • 1 year:Experience is low income housing.
