Job summary

Primoris Heavy Civil in Louisiana seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager on heavy civil construction programs. You will assist in planning, scheduling, and execution, monitor progress, and coordinate with subs, vendors, and site personnel.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering and 2–5 years' experience. Proficiency with Primavera P6, HCSS, Procore, and MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with a focus on project support roles.
• Strong understanding of construction principles, practices, and project management methodologies.
• Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Primavera P6, HCSS, Procore) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various project sites within Louisiana.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, scheduling, and execution of heavy civil construction projects.
• Monitor project progress, identify issues, and implement solutions.
• Manage project documentation including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and daily reports.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
• Assist with budget tracking, cost control, and financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.
• Facilitate effective communication among project stakeholders.
• Support the Project Manager in client relations and contract administration.
• Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates on project status.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and address field issues.
