Primoris Heavy Civil in Houston, TX is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support planning, execution, and close-out of heavy civil construction projects. You will assist the Project Manager to keep projects safe, on schedule, and within budget while upholding quality standards.

This role requires a bachelor’s in construction management or civil engineering, 2+ years in heavy civil, and proficiency with Primavera P6 or MS Project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years in heavy civil construction.
• Experience with project management software (Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Knowledge of safety regulations and construction processes.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Monitor progress, identify issues, and help develop solutions.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation including reports and change orders.
• Assist in managing project costs and processing invoices.
• Conduct site visits to monitor activities and safety compliance.
• Facilitate communication among clients, engineers, and crews.
• Support project manager in administration and oversight.
• Participate in project meetings and provide status updates.
• Contribute to risk identification and mitigation.
