Jobot is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for a premier Chicagoland heavy civil contractor. You will support heavy civil and site development projects, coordinating field teams and assisting with scheduling, budgeting, and documentation.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of construction experience, a degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, and familiarity with Procore or similar platforms. This on-site role offers a clear growth path and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in construction.
• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Experience with earthwork, excavation, or site development is a strong plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers in executing heavy civil and site development projects
• Assist with scheduling, budgeting, and cost control
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams
• Manage RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
• Help maintain quality, safety, and production tracking
• Participate in project meetings with internal teams and clients
• Track quantities, productivity, and change orders
