Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead civil/sitework projects in the Chicago area. You will oversee planning, execution, and delivery from inception to completion, coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to maintain scope, schedule, and budget.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, proven civil PM experience, and strong leadership, communication, and scheduling skills (HCSS).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering (preferred).
• Proven experience as a Project Manager in civil construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, and project management software (HCSS).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple construction projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain project timelines and resolve issues.
• Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety standards.
• Prepare and review project proposals, contracts, and change orders.
• Track project financials, including budgets, expenses, and forecasting.
• Communicate effectively with clients to provide project updates and address concerns promptly.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Foster a positive team environment and mentor junior staff members.

As a Project Manager you will play a crucial role in overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects from inception to completion.
