Job summary

Michael Page US in Miami seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support a South Florida contractor on healthcare, institutional, and commercial projects. You will manage RFIs, submittals, procurement logs, and project documentation while coordinating with owners, architects, and subcontractors.

This role offers mentorship from experienced leaders and a clear path into an Assistant Project Manager and then Project Manager role, with long-term stability in a respected Florida contractor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred, not obligatory).
  • Approximately 3 years of construction experience with a General Contractor.
  • Experience managing RFIs, submittals, procurement logs, and project documentation.
  • Strong technical and document-control skills.
  • Ability to review and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Motivated to develop into an Assistant Project Manager and future Project Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and track RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and project documentation
  • Coordinate procurement activities and material tracking
  • Support project scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration
  • Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors
  • Attend project meetings and maintain meeting minutes and action-item logs
  • Maintain document control systems and ensure project records remain accurate
  • Assist with permitting, inspections, project closeout, and turnover documentation
  • Support Project Managers with day-to-day project execution and reporting

Job Description
