Job summary

Volumetric Building Companies (VBC) is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join the U.S. Project Delivery Team in Philadelphia. This role supports planning, design through handoff, and execution with cross‑functional teams including Estimating, Design, Procurement, and Manufacturing.

The candidate should be organized, detail‑oriented, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment while growing into a Project Manager role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in construction, architecture, engineering, manufacturing, project coordination, estimating, or related AEC environment.
• Ability to read and understand architectural and engineering drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.

Responsibilities

• Support development of project plans, scope, schedule, and milestones.
• Assist with establishing budgets and tracking cost changes.
• Review contract documents and drawings for requirements and coordination.
• Participate in design reviews and preconstruction meetings.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment on scope and schedule.
• Prepare project status updates and maintain documentation in PM systems.
• Assist handoff from preconstruction to execution and communicate risks.
