Job summary

Scott Humphrey Corporation is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our Dallas–Fort Worth market focused on large-scale commercial construction from preconstruction through completion.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting ground-up commercial construction projects, preferably tilt-wall, and will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Multifamily experience will not be considered for this role.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting ground-up commercial construction projects.
• Tilt-wall construction experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
• Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, change orders, subcontractor coordination, and project scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers throughout all phases of commercial construction projects, from preconstruction through project closeout.
• Assist with project schedules, budgets, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, and other project documentation.
• Review construction drawings and specifications to identify discrepancies, scope gaps, and potential constructability issues.
• Assist with subcontractor procurement, bid comparisons, scope reviews, and contract administration.
• Track project progress and proactively communicate schedule updates, potential delays, and outstanding items.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting using construction management software.
• Conduct jobsite visits as needed to support field operations and ensure alignment between project plans and execution.
• Assist with quality control, safety coordination, and project closeout activities.
