Job summary

MPI is hiring an Assistant Project Manager to support planning, scheduling, and coordination on commercial construction projects across the Southeast, with a focus on Atlanta-area operations.

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, with at least one year of project engineering or assistant PM experience, and strong attention to detail, schedule and cost tracking, procurement, and on-site support skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager in commercial construction.
  • Strong follow-through and attention to detail.
  • Ability to anticipate project needs before they arise.
  • Comfortable with schedule updates, cost tracking, procurement and change management.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing detailed project plans, timelines and schedules.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors and stakeholders.
  • Ensure alignment of project aspects with stakeholder expectations.
  • Maintain project documentation including contracts, permits and daily logs.
  • Prepare and distribute regular progress reports to the project manager and stakeholders.
  • Assist in tracking project budgets and expenditures.
  • Help in preparing cost estimates and forecasts.
  • Help develop and update project schedules.
  • Provide on-site support to the project manager and site supervisors.

Job Description
  • Assist in developing detailed project plans, timelines, and schedules.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Project Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field
  • Atleast a full year of experience as a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager in commercial construction
  • Shows strong follow through, attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate project needs before they become problems.
  • Comfortable supporting schedule updates, cost tracking, procurement, and change management processes.
  • Works well under pressure, adapts quickly, and remains solutions oriented in a fast paced environment.
  • Eager to learn, open to mentorship, and driven to grow into a future Project Manager.
