Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Full-Time Assistant Project Manager for our Fire & Life Safety (FLS) Specialty Service group in Houston, TX. You will collaborate with architects, owners and engineers on high-profile projects, manage the project cycle from opportunity to construction, and contribute to scheduling, budgeting, and client communication.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of PM experience, strong MS Office, PowerBI, and CAD/Adobe tool proficiency, and a drive to work in a leading engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical or consulting engineering firm.
• 3–5 years of post-education project management experience in a relevant industry.
• Experience in project planning, cost management, schedule management, and KPI reporting.
• Proficiency in MS Office, PowerBI, Bluebeam, and Adobe software.

Responsibilities

• Set up projects and convert opportunities to billable jobs.
• Manage engineering teams on multiple projects concurrently.
• Develop and maintain project workplans, schedules, and task tracking.
• Maintain regular client communication regarding project status and schedules.
• Track financial performance and prepare forecasting/ invoicing reports.
• Coordinate the QA/QC process for deliverables.
• Coordinate project resource planning and staff utilization.
• Coordinate RFIs and submittals to ensure timely responses.
