Job summary

Flowtec Construction in Downtown Chicago is seeking an eager Assistant Project Manager to learn from seasoned professionals, take on meaningful responsibilities, and grow toward managing your own projects.

You’ll gain hands‑on experience across commercial interiors, ground‑up commercial construction and light industrial work, with mentorship and a strong project pipeline to accelerate your career.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager with a general contractor.
• Exposure to project documentation, subcontractor coordination, budgeting or scheduling.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and clear communication.
• Proactive mindset and willingness to develop into a well‑rounded Project Manager.

Responsibilities

• Support project budgeting, scheduling, procurement and cost tracking.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders and project documentation.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, architects, consultants and field teams.
• Participate in project meetings, monitor progress and help keep work on schedule.
• Work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to resolve challenges and keep projects moving.
• Build the technical knowledge, commercial awareness and leadership skills needed to become a successful Project Manager.
• Take on increasing responsibility as your experience and confidence grow.

The projects

Forget getting stuck doing the same thing every day. You’ll gain exposure to different project types, work alongside experienced teams and see how projects come together from preconstruction through final turnover.
