Job summary

PMA Consultants LLC seeks an Assistant Project Manager for ongoing projects in western Massachusetts. The successful candidate will work closely with the PMA Owner's Project Management (OPM) team and be physically based in the region.

This full-time, multi-year position involves supporting project delivery from design through construction and closeout. Responsibilities include managing and coordinating project activities, following up on action items, attending client and stakeholder meetings,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or related field; or equivalent on-the-job experience.
• Minimum 1–5 years of experience supporting capital or municipal construction projects.
• Experience with public sector design and construction projects strongly preferred.
• Full-time availability, Monday through Friday (required).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to read and interpret design documents and specifications.
• Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (required).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and track project activities and deliverables.
• Attend project meetings and produce clear, timely meeting minutes.
• Support and assist project team members (consultants and client staff).
• Prepare and update project reports, presentations, and documentation.
• Ensure consistent communication and follow-up with stakeholders.
• Perform other duties in support of successful project execution.
