Job summary

SERVPRO in Murfreesboro, TN is seeking a Water Restoration Crew Chief / Assistant Project Manager to lead crews on water, fire, and mold remediation projects. You will ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and to industry standards while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include directing the mitigation team, supervising water extraction, drying, demolition, and remediation, and coordinating with clients, insurers, and commercial accounts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of water/fire mitigation experience.
• IICRC WRT or similar certification preferred.
• Knowledge of drying equipment and moisture documentation.
• Valid driver's license and strong customer service skills.
• Must be able to work in person and travel to job sites; weekend/on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the mitigation crew on water, fire, smoke, and mold remediation projects.
• Perform and supervise water extraction, structural drying, demolition, and remediation production work.
• Setup and monitor drying equipment and accurately document moisture readings and daily progress.
• Manage and complete jobs according to SERVPRO processes per work order, monitoring from start to finish.
• Respond to service calls, setup and establish efficient job flow, and coordinate requirements for each job.
• Communicate clear expectations to production technicians and supervise their activities and quality of work.
• Explain processes and answer customer questions, establishing relationships with commercial, insurance, and residential customers.
• Monitor, communicate, and respond to customer needs and concerns to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain continuous communication with internal parties, including the Job File Coordinator and management.
• Identify safety hazards, communicate them, and establish control measures to ensure safety.
• Follow and enforce all safety procedures on the jobsite.
• Resolve problems quickly as they arise.
• Manage job file documentation to ensure complete and accurate project details.
• Manage and control the costs of production projects.
• Protect and properly use equipment and materials; maintain vehicles, equipment, warehouse, and office areas.
