Job summary

CBX Solutions, the nation’s leading provider of architectural doors, frames, hardware, and security integration services, seeks an Assistant Project Manager to coordinate materials, schedules, and documentation for commercial construction projects.

You’ll support Project Managers, liaise with vendors and customers, manage submittals and change orders, and help ensure on-time delivery and contract compliance across door/hardware and security sectors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in business or construction management preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for coordination with teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• Support project managers in procurement and order tracking to meet timelines.
• Coordinate with vendors, manufacturers, and internal teams for timely delivery and accuracy.
• Assist in managing project documentation: submittals, RFIs, change orders, closeout packages.
• Monitor subcontractor schedules and compliance with project scopes.
• Communicate proactively with general contractors, customers, and internal departments.
• Process change orders ensuring accurate pricing and documentation.
• Create and maintain sales orders, fabrication work orders, and delivery schedules.
• Perform job site visits to support installation progress and verify field conditions.
• Support collections by coordinating with teams on outstanding invoices.
• Prepare and submit project closeout docs: O&M manuals, warranties, as-builts.
