Job summary

The Kiely Family of Companies is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support construction Supervisors and Foreman by coordinating project activities, ensuring safety, quality, cost, schedule, and documentation requirements are met.

Responsibilities include pre-con meetings, reviewing drawings, updating schedules, collecting reports and billing documents, assisting with change orders, and supporting project leaders.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of construction experience with CM/engineering degree preferred.
  • Ability to follow safety programs and ensure safety is prioritized.
  • College degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Current Project Management certification(s).
  • Knowledge of Timberline, CMS, and Excel."

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and assist with pre-construction meetings.
  • Review drawings and specifications to understand project scope and critical items.
  • Create, manage and update project schedules with milestones and due dates.
  • Follow up on collection of documents and escalate issues.
  • Collect foreman daily reports, weekly project photos, and safety docs; ensure completeness.
  • Distribute work orders to Foreman; prioritize workload on multiple projects.
  • Identify, record and track all job costs; prepare change orders for review.
  • Produce financial reports to keep budgets on target; prepare billing documents.
  • Instruct team on closeout and ensure deadlines are met; document meetings.
  • Support Project Leaders / Project Managers as needed.
