Job summary

The Kiely Family of Companies is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support construction Supervisors and Foreman by coordinating project activities, ensuring safety, quality, cost, schedule, and documentation requirements are met.

Responsibilities include pre-con meetings, reviewing drawings, updating schedules, collecting reports and billing documents, assisting with change orders, and supporting project leaders.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of construction experience with CM/engineering degree preferred.
  • Ability to follow safety programs and ensure safety is prioritized.
  • College degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Current Project Management certification(s).
  • Knowledge of Timberline, CMS, and Excel."

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and assist with pre-construction meetings.
  • Review drawings and specifications to understand project scope and critical items.
  • Create, manage and update project schedules with milestones and due dates.
  • Follow up on collection of documents and escalate issues.
  • Collect foreman daily reports, weekly project photos, and safety docs; ensure completeness.
  • Distribute work orders to Foreman; prioritize workload on multiple projects.
  • Identify, record and track all job costs; prepare change orders for review.
  • Produce financial reports to keep budgets on target; prepare billing documents.
  • Instruct team on closeout and ensure deadlines are met; document meetings.
  • Support Project Leaders / Project Managers as needed.

POSITION SUMMARY

Assistant Project Manager who will be responsible for assisting the
Construction Supervisors and supporting the Foreman by coordinating the
activities of the project ensuring safety, quality, cost, schedule, and
documentation requirements are met

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and assist with pre-construction meetings.
  • Review drawings and specifications to become completely familiar with the project and identify long lead items and critical path items.
  • Prepare, manage and update projects and schedules, including milestones and due / completion dates while ensuring prompt resolution to issues associated with assigned projects.
  • Follow up on collection of all non-received documents and escalates any issues to the Supervisor.
  • Collect foreman daily reports, weekly project pictures and safety documentation, review for completeness and include in project documentation. Inform Supervisor of deficiencies.
  • Collect and distribute work orders from/to the appropriate Foreman.
  • Prioritize workload while working on multiple projects / tasks
  • Identify, record and track all job costs
  • Prepare change orders for review and approval
  • Produce financial reports as needed to ensure budgets are on target
  • Prepare, collect and distribute billing documentation for projects
  • Instruct team on closeout and resolution requirements to ensure deadlines are met
  • Participate and document project design and update meetings
  • Support Project Leaders / Project Managers as needed
Competencies
  • 3-5 years of construction experience with a degree in construction management or an engineering field being a plus.
  • The ability to become well versed in the Company’s safety program procedures and policies, follows/enforces said policies/makes tough decisions to ensure the safety remains on the forefront of the business.
  • College Degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or equivalent experience
  • Current Project Management certification(s)
  • Strong working knowledge of Timberline, and CMS
  • Three (3) years of senior level administrative experience while managing complex tasks or projects
  • Knowledge of Excel, Timberline, and CMS
