Job summary

TDIndustries, Inc. seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support and coordinate construction projects including new facility development, expansions, and renovations. You will develop schedules, assign tasks, and oversee field personnel to ensure timely delivery of materials and progress toward deadlines.

You will gain exposure to project estimates and assist estimators in cost reviews, takeoffs, and pricing changes. Travel to job sites for inspections and coordination will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degrees in Construction Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering disciplines are mandatory.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience is required.
• Strong organizational skills are essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Excellent presentation skills are required.
• Able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with project managers to plan work schedules and coordinate project activities, ensuring timely progress within budget constraints.
• Works in the field with production crews to understand life on the job site and learn about mechanical systems.
• Participates in preparing reports, conducting studies, and performing data analysis; compiles project closeout documentation.
• Learns cost review proposals, estimates, and pricing procedures for changes to work scope and new project estimating.
• Visits job sites, inspects work, checks progress, and resolves project and contract issues.
• Coordinates information between project manager, superintendent, general contractor, suppliers, and vendors.
• Assists management and marketing in developing and maintaining strong business relationships.
