Job summary

The LiRo Group seeks an Assistant Project Manager for an active Midtown assignment in New York. The role involves supporting the Project Manager across design and construction of capital improvement projects for state clients.

Strong coordination, documentation, and cost-control skills are essential. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of two years in construction planning, scheduling, and cost management, with understanding of RFIs, change orders, and contract documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in construction planning, cost estimating, project scheduling, resource management, and construction document reading/interpretation
• Knowledge of RFI tracking, contract document reviews, forecast and cost scheduling, change order review and payment reviews
• Public Agency construction experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist Program Managers with project plans and schedules
• Assist Program Managers with monitoring of building construction, repair, and rehabilitation projects from planning through completion
• Assist with coordination of construction efforts on multiple projects
• Oversee/inspect the work of contractors, manage submittals, requisitions and change orders
