The LiRo Group is seeking a Project Architect to participate in design, documentation, and construction administration for municipal and corporate projects in NYC and Mineola. Hybrid/flex-hour work schedule offered. The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of U.S.

Qualifications

• A degree in Architecture from an accredited college is required.
• Professional License required.
• 5-10 years U. S. experience in building design and construction document preparation is required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Proficiency with 3D Modeling software such as Enscape, Rhino, 3ds Max or Adobe Creative Suite/Bluebeam is a plus.
• Knowledge of International and Local Building Codes is required.
• Strong conceptual, planning and organization skills and capability of working both individually and in a team environment on a variety of projects and tasks.

Responsibilities

• Leads the technical direction of projects, translating design intent into deliverables, assisting the Design and Management Teams with the successful delivery of the project.
• Interfaces with Clients, Client representatives, Consultants and Construction Managers.
• Has a working knowledge of local and state building codes, conducting code research, applying analysis to design requirements and manages regulatory filings.
• Prepares weekly workplans, design documentation including surveys, reports, architectural drawings, details and specifications throughout all project phases in line with the project delivery schedule.
• Ensures drawing, documentation and BIM standards are followed.
• Actively coordinates with internal and external engineering consultants, including Survey, MEP, Civil, Environmental, Cost Estimators and Structural disciplines.
• Researches products and materials.
• Performs design and constructabilityreviews (QA) weekly, with the Project Manager at all phases of the project.
• Assists with the oversight and mentorship of junior staff.
