Job summary

The LiRo Group is seeking a Senior Project Architect to lead design, documentation and construction administration for municipal and corporate projects in New York City and Mineola, LI. The role emphasizes collaboration, mentoring, and delivering innovative, sustainable solutions across healthcare, education, and public safety sectors.

You will supervise teams, coordinate with consultants, apply building codes, and ensure BIM/drawing standards across all project phases, with a hybrid/flex-hour

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture from an accredited college is required.
• Professional license is required.
• 15+ years U. S. experience in building design and construction document preparation is required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Proficiency with 3D Modeling software such as Enscape, Rhino 3D Max or Adobe Creative Suite/Blue beam is a plus.
• Knowledge of International and Local Building Codes is required.
• Strong conceptual, planning and organization skills and capability of working both individually and in a team environment on a variety of projects and tasks.

Responsibilities

• Leads the technical direction of projects, translating design intent into deliverables, assisting the Design and Management Teams with the successful delivery of the project
• Interfaces with Clients, Client representatives, Consultants and Construction Managers
• Has a working knowledge of local and state building codes, conducting code research, applying analysis to design requirements and manages regulatory filings
• Prepares weekly workplans, design documentation including surveys, reports, architectural drawings, details and specifications throughout all project phases in line with the project delivery schedule
• Ensures drawing, documentation and BIM standards are followed
• Actively coordinates with internal and external engineering consultants, including Survey, MEP, Civil, Environmental, Cost Estimators and Structural disciplines
• Researches products and materials
• Performs design and constructabilityreviews (QA) weekly, with the Project Manager at all phases of the project
• Assists with the oversight and mentorship of junior staff
