Job summary

Big-D Construction in Idaho Falls, ID, seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support multiple commercial construction projects. You will document changes, manage RFIs and Submittals, and coordinate with subcontractors to keep work on schedule.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in construction management and 3–5 years of related experience, plus strong organizational skills and proficiency with MS Office and project tools. Big-D offers a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field.
• 3–5 years of related experience on commercial construction projects.
• Strong organizational skills and proactive work approach.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management.

Responsibilities

• Supports construction administration on one or more projects.
• Documents changes or deviations from contract documents clearly and timely.
• Manages and maintains RFI and Submittal processes.
• Creates and maintains weekly construction and internal project meeting minutes.
• Manages close‑out documents with subs and PMs.
• Creates pre-punch and final punch lists; coordinates with subcontractors.
• Manages PCO / Sub Change Order process.
• Reviews subcontractor pay applications monthly.
• Provides input on CPM schedule.
• Ensures field QC requirements are met in the field.
• Coordinates direction of work with subcontractors; preconstruction requirements met.
• Assists in compiling logs for Monthly Executive Report.
• Learn notice to proceed and subcontract contracting requirements.
