Chapter is one of the fastest-growing design-build firms in the Southeast, specializing in high-end residential renovations. We combine architecture, interior design, procurement, and construction to deliver an exceptional client experience from concept to completion.
We're looking for an organized, driven, and hands-on Assistant Project Manager to support our growing Miami operation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who already has renovation experience and is ready to take the next step in their construction management career while working alongside experienced Project Managers on some of South Florida's most exciting residential projects.
What You'll Do
- Assist in managing multiple residential renovation projects throughout Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties.
- Support Project Managers with scheduling, budgeting, and day-to-day project coordination.
- Visit job sites regularly to monitor progress, quality, safety, and subcontractor performance.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, and inspections.
- Communicate with clients, architects, designers, and internal teams.
- Review plans, specifications, and project documentation.
- Help identify and resolve project issues before they become problems.
- Maintain accurate project records, schedules, and reports.
- Ensure projects stay on schedule while maintaining Chapter's quality standards.
- Navigate Florida building code requirements and permitting timelines.
What We're Looking For
- 3-5 years of experience in residential renovation or construction project management.
- Experience coordinating multiple trades on active construction projects.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities.
- Proficient with technology and construction management software.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset.
- Familiarity with Miami-Dade County or South Florida building codes and permitting processes (a plus).
- Comfortable using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or equivalent) as a real part of daily work -- not occasionally, and not as a novelty
- Curious and open-minded approach to emerging technology; sees AI as a multiplier rather than a threat
- Strong software proficiency and general computer literacy; picks up new platforms quickly without hand-holding
- Organized in digital environments -- files, communications, and workflows managed clearly and consistently
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver's license.
- Reliable personal vehicle for travel between project sites.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary based on experience.
- 15 days PTO annually, increasing with tenure
- 5 paid sick days annually
- 11 paid company holidays
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance (Chapter pays 75% of employee health insurance premiums)
- Opportunities for career growth into a Project Manager role.
- Work with a collaborative, high-performing team on beautiful, high-end residential projects.
