Job summary

Gomez Floor Covering in San Antonio is seeking a capable Project Coordinator/Assistant PM to take over day-to-day project execution for commercial flooring jobs. You will collaborate with estimators, coordinators, and the production manager, acting as the eyes and ears on local projects.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in project coordination or related roles, strong communication, and proficiency with PM software.

Qualifications

• Commercial flooring experience required.
• 3+ years in construction project coordination, assistant PM, project engineer, or similar role.
• Knowledge of submittals, change orders, purchase orders, and overall PM process.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and construction docs.
• Strong communication with field and client-facing stakeholders.
• Organized, self-motivated, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day execution of multiple commercial flooring projects from start to finish.
• Visit active job sites in the San Antonio area to review progress, quality, and schedule.
• Serve as liaison between Project Manager, production manager, estimators, project coordinators, field crews, and customers.
• Report project status, progress, red flags, and proposed solutions to PM.
• Read and interpret drawings, specs, contracts, and schedules related to flooring and interior finishes.
• Support bid and quote preparation, help predict project duration and cost.
• Identify field conditions requiring change orders and coordinate with project team.
• Review work at each stage to ensure schedules and customer requirements are met.
