Job summary

Atlantic Constructors Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support field operations on commercial construction projects.

You will ensure field supervision has the materials, equipment and information needed to complete the scope, while aligning with client goals and promoting company interests. The role requires collaboration with SPM/PM, subcontractors and suppliers, and entails reviewing documents, managing submittals, and assisting in procurement and scheduling to keep projects on

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Construction Engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Intermediate to advanced skill level in Microsoft Office products including Word, Project, Excel, Outlook and PDF editing software (Bluebeam, Adobe).
• Ability to learn company-specific software such as Procore and Viewpoint.

Responsibilities

• Assists SPM/PM in submission and review of permits, proposals, submittals, contracts and change orders.
• Reviews specifications and drawings in preparation of subcontractor scopes of work.
• Prepares and distributes project RFIs and Submittals and maintains logs.
• Manages project materials and equipment purchases including sourcing and tracking deliveries.
• Assists PM with procurement and buyout process.
• Creates and maintains internal project schedules and tracking reports.
• Supports field in expediting schedule and materials to projects.
• Attends project meetings with clients, subcontractors, vendors and suppliers.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Construction Engineering or related field

Proven track record working with people, teams and projects

Ability to multi-task and follow instructions
