Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for commercial construction projects in California. You will oversee planning, scheduling, budgets, and coordination with subcontractors to ensure timely, on-budget delivery with high-quality standards.

The role requires 2–4 years of construction coordination/management experience, strong communication, and proficiency with MS Office and construction management software.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in Construction Project Coordination or Management.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and construction management software.
• Familiarity with Commercial Construction processes and terminology.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team.
• General contracting / commercial construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with planning, scheduling, and execution of commercial construction projects.
• Liaise between subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to track progress.
• Monitor budgets, timelines, and milestones; provide updates to stakeholders.
• Prepare and manage contracts, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Support procurement by placing material orders and ensuring timely deliveries.
• Troubleshoot on-site issues to maintain schedules and resolve challenges.
• Ensure safety regulations and company policies are followed.
• Attend project meetings and document decisions and action items.
