Job summary

gpac is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for commercial construction in Lansing, MI. You will assist in managing projects from preconstruction to closeout and work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure quality, safety, and timely delivery.

This role offers mentorship and exposure to diverse commercial projects. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in construction management or related fields, familiarity with CM software and MS Office, and a degree in a related field is

Qualifications

• 2+ years of construction management, project engineering, or PM experience.
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Understanding of construction drawings, scheduling, and project coordination.
• Familiarity with construction management software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist with commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Support project budgets, scheduling, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, and field teams.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
• Assist with estimating, bidding, procurement, and subcontractor buyout.
• Partner with Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure quality, safety, and timely delivery.
• Participate in site visits, owner meetings, and project closeout.
