Job summary

Forgen, a geotechnical and specialty civil construction company, seeks a Project Manager to lead diverse projects across North America. You will direct a team, manage safety, and ensure projects meet design, budget, and schedule while coordinating with clients and subcontractors.

Ideal candidates bring a Civil Engineering or Construction Management background and 8+ years of construction experience, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; 5–10 years in construction or, in lieu, 8+ years of equivalent experience.
• Experience in demolition, site restoration, material management, cost tracking, and interpreting construction plans/specs.
• Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, Primavera P6, and cost systems.
• Strong leadership, supervision, and motivation of teams; good understanding of subordinate roles.
• Excellent written and oral communication, analytical and decision-making skills, with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and be accountable for direct reports.
• Drive a safety culture promoting incident and injury-free performance.
• Provide initial client contact to assess scope and resources needed.
• Prepare complete estimates for project-specific change orders with detailed review of specs and drawings.
• Supervise total construction effort to meet design, budget, and schedule; interface with clients and subcontractors.
• Plan, coordinate, and support onsite functions (scheduling, engineering, material control).
• Supervise employees and subcontractors as required by contract.
• Provide technical assistance on drawings, methods, and equipment; manage change orders.
