Job summary

The LiRo Group is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for the Midtown Armory Renovation project. The role supports the Engineer in Charge, coordinating technical and administrative tasks throughout all construction phases.

Key duties include planning, scheduling, reporting, and monitoring to ensure quality and budget adherence. Relevant experience, OSHA 30, and strong organizational skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project planning, scheduling, and reporting for the Lexington Ave Armory renovation.
• Monitor construction, repair, and renovation work to ensure quality, compliance, and budget control.
• Coordinate construction activities across multiple trades, with a focus on MEP systems (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing).
• Oversee contractor performance, manage submittals, RFIs, requisitions, and change orders.
• Support cost tracking, forecasting, and payment reviews.

Responsibilities

Immediate opportunity for an experienced Assistant Project Manager to support the renovation and upgrade of Lexington Ave Armory

This role works closely and supports the Engineer in Charge (EIC) to coordinate technical and administrative tasks throughout all phases of construction.

Key Responsibilities:

• • Assist with project planning, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Monitor construction, repair, and renovation work to ensure quality, compliance, and budget control.
  • Coordinate construction activities across multiple trades, with a focus on MEP systems (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing).
  • Oversee contractor performance, manage submittals, RFIs, requisitions, and change orders.
  • Support cost tracking, forecasting, and payment reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or a related degree preferred
• 4+ years of construction APM experience in planning, estimating, scheduling, and project coordination.
• Experience in MEP systems strongly preferred
• Knowledge of RFI tracking, contract document reviews, forecast and cost scheduling, and preparation of change orders.
• Ability to read/interpret construction documents and manage contract documentation.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• Compensation range $50 per hour to $60 per hour. The range provided is the salary that the Firm in good faith believes at the time of this posting is willing to pay for the advertised position. Exact compensation will be determined on the individual candidate's qualifications and client approval.
