• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.

Upper Marlboro, MD client seeks an Assistant Project Manager with a background in commercial construction for an on-site fire station renovation project. The role supports the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, subcontractor communication, documentation, and day-to-day project administration to help ensure safety, on-time completion, and budget adherence. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and looking to grow in commercial construction management.

This is a Contract to Possible Permanent position that will require being fully on-site in Arlington, VA.

Salary: $50,000–$70,000 (Depending on Experience)

• Full demolition and renovation of an existing fire station
• Approximately 12-month project duration
• Project scheduled to begin within the next few weeks

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, Project Coordinator, or similar construction role
• Commercial construction experience required; renovation experience preferred
• Experience assisting with project schedules, subcontractor coordination, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar construction management software is a plus
• Ability to work closely with field personnel, subcontractors, and clients in a fast-paced construction environment
