Job summary

Harris is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support HVAC construction projects from initiation to closeout. You will ensure adherence to standards, budgets, deadlines, and communications while promoting a strong safety culture on site.

This role involves document control, field coordination, QA/QC administration, and closeout documentation. Candidates should have a technical degree and 2+ years in construction, with strong reading of construction documents and team communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of knowledge/experience of the building & construction industry.
• Ability to read and comprehend construction documents; strong interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management support during all phases of HVAC construction.
• Manage safety compliance and foster a culture of safety.
• Document control: distribute and log drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals.
• Attend field coordination meetings and distribute notes.
• Assist in QA/QC program and compile documentation.
• Administer closeout docs including O&M manuals and punch lists.
• Coordinate with suppliers on estimating and procurement.
• Track labor productivity and project costs in accounting software.

Job Description:The purpose of your role as an Assistant Project ManagerAs an Assistant Project Manager, you will provide project management support during all phases of HVAC construction to ensure project standards, budget, deadlines and communications are maintained.
