Pyramid Consulting, Inc. has an immediate opening for an Assistant Project Manager to support engineering and construction projects on a 12+ month contract in Maitland, FL.

The role involves coordinating with clients, subcontractors and vendors, maintaining document control, and tracking project activities to meet schedule and budget. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of PM experience, a related degree, strong communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

  • Min 5 years of applicable project management experience supporting engineering & construction projects.
  • Experience with Design-Build/EPC support, cost schedule, budgeting and project documentation.
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related degree from accredited program and min 5 years of applicable experience is Required.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills, strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, demanding work environment, ability to work overtime on short notice.
  • High proficiency using Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Owners, Contractors, Project Managers, Engineers and Designers.

Responsibilities

  • Assist project managers on projects of varying complexity, and/or manage smaller projects on their own.
  • Coordinate and act as liaison to client, subcontractors, vendors and stakeholders; maintain document control and track activities to meet goals within timeframe and budget.
  • Assist global practice and engineering disciplines with Design-only and/or EPC projects.
  • Develop RFP package, assist in bid and selection, and prepare detailed scope of work documents for downstream contracts.
  • Manage Contractors' submittals, RFIs, design instructions, and site drawing logs.
  • Verify Contractor compliance including quality, safety, environmental and material management programs.
  • Execute contracts including change order management and invoicing, and manage schedules.
  • Assist with project controls: cost reporting, scheduling, WBS, set-up and closeout in accounting system, progress tracking.
  • Develop internal and external reports: budgeting, cost reports, cash flow forecasts, status reports.
  • Participate in risk reviews and consult with Legal as required.
  • Close out contract and project documentation.
  • Adhere to Safety programs and promote Health and safety performance.

Immediate need for a talented Assistant Project Manager. This is a 12+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Maitland, FL (Onsite).

Pay Range: $50 - $54/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:
  • The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will assist project managers on a variety of projects of varying complexity, and/or will manage some smaller and less complex projects on their own.
  • This position will manage and act as a coordinator and project liaison to the client, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders, throughout the project. The APM will maintain document control, manage databases and coordinate and track project activities and communications to ensure project goals are accomplished within the prescribed timeframe and budget parameters.
  • Assist global practice and engineering disciplines with overall efforts for Design-only and/or EPC projects.
  • Assist the Project Management team to administer request for proposal (RFP) package development, bid and selection process, and develop detailed scope of work documents for downstream contracts.
  • Manage Contractors' submittals, requests for information, supplemental design instructions, and site drawing logs.
  • Verify Contractor compliance including: quality, safety, environmental, environmental and material management programs.
  • Execute contracts including: change order management/ field change directives, approval of invoices, and management of schedules.
  • Assist with project controls efforts, including project cost reporting, scheduling, project work breakdown structure establishment, project set-up and closeout within the accounting system, and field progress tracking.
  • Assist with the development of internal and external reports including, project budgeting, cost reports, project cash flow forecast, and project status reports to all stakeholders.
  • Participate in internal and external project risk reviews and consult with Legal Department as required.
  • Close out contract and project documentation.
  • Adhere our client’s safety programs, trainings, and policies, as well as promote and manage the Safety & Health performance of project team members and subcontractors.
  • Performs other duties as assigned and Complies with all policies and standards.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
  • Must Have Skills: Min 5 years of applicable project management experience supporting engineering & construction projects e.g. utility infrastructure Transmission Lines, Power Distribution, Substation or pipelines and or other grid type infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with Design-Build/EPC support, cost schedule, budgeting and project documentation.
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related degree from accredited program and min 5 years of applicable experience is Required.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills, strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, demanding work environment, ability to work overtime on short notice.
  • High proficiency using Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others (Owner's, Contractors, Project Managers, Engineers and Designers) in a multi-discipline project team environment to resolve design or drawing issues as appropriate and to accomplish objectives.
