Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Assistant Project Manager with experience in the construction field, preferably in electrical contracting, but open to general contracting as well. This role supports planning, budgeting, and scheduling on commercial, healthcare, hospitality, public works, and high-rise projects.

Compensation ranges from $90,000 to $115,000 per year with bonuses, a 401k match, three weeks of PTO, a flexible schedule, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in the construction industry.
• Familiar with RFIs, change orders, submittals, cost control, and blueprint reading.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in planning and execution of construction projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget, high-quality outcomes.
• Manage and monitor project costs to ensure budget compliance, including forecasting, tracking, and controlling costs.
• Review and manage contracts, ensuring terms are met and risks are identified and mitigated.
• Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and stakeholders for favorable terms.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and coordinate with team members to keep activities on track.
• Ensure construction safety by implementing and monitoring safety protocols and conducting safety trainings.
• Read and interpret blueprints to align construction with design specifications.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Project Manager in the planning and execution of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


• Managing and monitoring project costs to ensure budget compliance, including forecasting, tracking, and controlling costs.


• Reviewing and managing contracts, ensuring that all terms and conditions are met and that any potential risks are identified and mitigated.


• Negotiating with suppliers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure the best possible terms for our projects.


• Developing and maintaining project schedules, coordinating with team members and stakeholders to ensure that all activities are on track.


• Ensuring construction safety by implementing and monitoring safety protocols, conducting regular safety inspections, and providing safety training to team members.


• Reading and interpreting blueprints, ensuring that all construction activities align with the design specifications.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry.


• A solid understanding of RFIs, quality control, change orders, submittals, cost control, contract management, negotiation, planning, scheduling, construction safety, and blueprint reading.
