Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support delivery on major infrastructure projects in Salt Lake City, UT. This on-site, permanent role offers a base salary in the $115k–$140k range with comprehensive benefits and career growth opportunities.

You will work closely with engineers, owners, and internal teams to plan, coordinate, and execute complex highway, bridge, and design-build projects while advancing your project controls and field operations expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
• 3-5+ years of experience in heavy civil construction or related infrastructure projects.
• Experience on DOT, transportation, utilities, water, mining, or site development projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, project controls, and field operations.
• Experience with design-build projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support project execution from preconstruction through closeout on heavy civil projects
• Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
• Track quantities, production, and costs to ensure alignment with project budgets and schedules
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, including scope, performance, and cost tracking
• Participate in project meetings with owners, engineers, and internal stakeholders
• Assist with scheduling, procurement, and project controls

Job Details

This is not a small-project environment- you’ll be involved in high-impact infrastructure work that requires coordination, planning, and execution at scale. Advancement is based on performance and contribution, not tenure.

You’ll gain exposure to a wide range of projects, including:

• DOT highway and bridge construction
• Design-build and progressive design-build delivery
• Industrial, mining, and energy infrastructure
• Large-scale civil site development

Work alongside teams that self‑perform critical scopes, providing deeper exposure to:

• grading and earthwork
